The virus has struck. I received an e-mail from the Server Subsystem Undeliverable Mail Daemon blah-blah yesterday. My computer had never been it by any of the viruses running around, because I always shut my DSL off if I'm not using it. That, plus Norton, Ad-Aware, Zone Alarm, etc.
DO NOT OPEN ATTACHMENTS!!!!!
I avoided the virus by doing just that, not opening the attachment. What made me laugh was the fact that the subject in the email said my mail was UNDELIVERABLE.... funny, since I hadn't sent any e-mail in about 3 days. And those I did send mail to were regular receivers.
Go to the Symantec website if you suspect a viral infection of your PC ( http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ ). They'll fix you. They fix everything.
Trend Micro stayed true to their name, calling it the MYDOOM virus. Symantec came up with the less palatable NOVARG.
Hmm.... I wonder which name the media likes
